Tools needed to paint these rocks

rocks
paint
palette or dish
pencil
book of fish
top coat (optional)
Plant dish (optional)

Directions:

1. Fish:

Find rocks in shapes of fish, crabs, lobsters, etc.
Clean the rocks well
Draw Fish Outline: we drew fish on the rocks
Paint with acrylic paint or craft paint for best results
Color and decorate the fish. Color on one or both sides
Paint the Plant Pot dish (we did water colors and themes) (optional)
Add top coat to keep paints from coming off (optional)

2. Tips and ideas:

We had loads of fun walking the beach looking for Fish shaped rocks.
Look at fish books before and after for ideas. A great way to learn about fish.
Or draw imaginary fish on paper (recycled paper please!)
We made fish but you can also do shells, plants, flowers, animals
Sell them: Paint many then have a sale! Proceeds can go to a cause.
Display them: When you have the painted rocks complete display them in a special place
