International Year of The Forests Was 2011
What is the Year of the Forest?
The United Nations General Assembly declared 2011 as the International Year of Forests to raise awareness on sustainable management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests.. Let's do our part to keep these valuable habitats intact.
That means being a Planetpal, caring for our land and everything in it's ecosystem. After all, forests are the habitats for creatures and organisms such as plants and trees. They all work together!
So, whether you live in the rain forest, go camping in a woodland or play in a grove...appreciate the beauty and help keep it beautiful! Help protect the planet. No matter how old you are, you can do something to help in your own way: Actions big or small. We love them all!
